Thirty‑five years under the same neon. Everything else like this on the road now belongs to a national company. We still don’t — same building, same name, same person behind the counter who knows yours.

01Every half hour

The Rainbow Wheel

Every machine in the room is colour‑coded, and the wheel carries the same colours. On the half hour, it spins. Land on your colour while you’re playing that machine and there’s £10 in credit on the spot. If it lands on a colour nobody’s playing, everyone playing gets £5.

Friday and Saturday nights, 9pm to 2am, the amounts double — £20 and £10.

Needs at least three people playing to spin. You must have been in fifteen minutes before the spin and playing at the time. Credit must be played through. Full conditions on the terms page.

This one’s just for fun — the real wheel hangs in the shop.

02Every day

Your tenner is our tenner.

Stake £10 and we match it with £10 in credit — £20 in play. Once the full twenty has been wagered, anything you’ve won is yours.

Monday to Thursday, 9am–9pm. Friday and Saturday it runs twice: 9am–9pm, then again 9pm–2am. One match per session. All credit must be wagered. Full conditions on the terms page.

03The room

Lit the way it’s always been.

One long room, carpeted, air conditioned — red neon along the coving, blue across the ceiling. The change booth has a sign over it that has outlasted most of the shopfronts on the road.

Machines from the older reel cabinets through to the newer touchscreens, seating at every one, and somebody behind the counter the entire time we’re open. Not a card machine and a buzzer — an actual person who’ll get you change.

Free tea, coffee and snacks

All day, and all night on Friday and Saturday. Crisps and biscuits alongside. It’s for customers playing, not a café — but if you’re in and you’re playing, nobody’s counting your cups.

Inside Richmond Leisure — a row of six identical Medusa machines with glowing honeycomb bases and a stool at every one, under the red neon.
